Diane Hunter (b 1943) started piano lessons in Kindergarten and grew up playing gospel on piano, keyboard and organ. She obtained a Bachelor of Education (music Major) and a Post Baccalaureate from the University of Manitoba. A piano and theory teacher in Winnipeg, she is now retired to concentrate on composition. Diane has written a series of jazz piano books called Buzz the Keys for intermediate students. Christmas Buzz the Keys is a new jazz arrangement of familiar Christmas songs. Her music is also published in the Grade 8 Northern Light CNCM) series. Besides her love for music, Diane loves gardening and braiding rugs.
